Practice Overview
Steven Hunt & Associates was established in 1988 as Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Engineers and has focused on quality growth to match demand whilst maintaining stability, a desire to succeed and a commitment to effectively deliver.Our core business deals with the development of new buildings on green field sites. Our particular expertise lies in the overall management and co-ordination of the complete services package from infrastructure procurement, the design of the services, which is fully turnkey including IT networking, security and controls, followed up with full inspection services and cost control to completion of the project. We have a commercial awareness of our trade and whilst innovative, our designs are selective and tailored to suit their purpose.
Our team has considerable experience with a wide range of commercial projects but has concentrated on interesting bespoke schemes requiring creativity and flair integral to the design.
We have represented clients on many large scale industrial and commercial business park schemes from master planning through to completion of individual buildings, offering up to date design concepts and sustainable design solutions.
We offer experience in the health care sector working with various PCTs on a variety of projects from small scale refurbishment to complete hospital facilities. We are strong in education and have designed services for numerous schools under PFI and traditional contract.
We are currently working on the new Orangutan House at Chester Zoo, an Equestrian Centre for Aintree Racecourse, Invibio Global Headquarters at Fleetwood which are all quality and interesting projects. We also boast the Duchy of Lancaster as one of our clients.
We are licensed BREEAM assessors for offices and we are registered with Construction Line and the NHS North West Consortium. All our work is computer aided utilising Cymap environmental software and Autocad packages including 3D computational software which are fully interchangeable with other professionals.
We pride ourselves in being knowledgeable in our field and allocate time and resources in to continual professional development, keeping abreast of changes to regulations, standards, and technology. We are fully conversant with the latest changes to Part L and are able to carry out SBEM calculations to comply with latest building regulations.
Overall we look after our staff as these are our main asset and we have Investors in People status.
