Early involvement in the inception of a project is critical if we are to assist in ‘designing out’ the need for costly and complex mechanical and electrical systems. Having been involved with BRE on a case study for the new SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model) software used to test compliance with the new building regulations Part L 2006, we are well placed to help. Through the Carbon Trust we can provide advice on how to reduce energy use. This government supported initiative provides free consultations during the design and construction of new buildings or the refurbishment of existing buildings.

Our BREEAM assessors (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) will evaluate how ‘sustainable’ a project is under this landmark methodology.
