Established in 1967, Hamiltons Architects are a successful design led practice based in Paddington. Hamiltons have expertise in offices, residential, retail, hotels, leisure, cultural, education, industrial, transport infrastructure and masterplanning. In recent years the practice has undergone an exciting process of transition responding to an increasingly diverse and demanding range of projects.
Today Hamiltons’ has over 150 people working in a dynamic studio environment. We are dedicated to the creation of fresh and forward thinking architecture. We achieve this by drawing upon our unique mix of creative ingenuity and commercial insight together with our wealth of experience. Hamiltons Architects work in an environment that inspires, nurturing enthusiasm and releasing creative energy. The design process is transparent, stimulating lateral thinking, challenging accepted responses and solutions whilst providing a firm foundation for practical innovation. We have developed an iterative design process with regular structured reviews which ensure that the client’s objectives are maintained.
The practice has a clear management structure with a steering group guiding its overall direction. Weekly directors meetings balance resources with opportunities ensuring that we always maintain the highest level of service. Experienced associates lead and oversee projects. The Support Group has an overview on the running of the practice, including the deployment of personnel on individual projects. They are also responsible for the management of our systems, project audits, generation and monitoring of project programmes together with technical and risk management reviews.
We have many other personnel with specialist expertise offering further support across the practice. The Support Group co-ordinates these skills with external specialists, including specification writing, and the production of monthly technical bulletins.
