Hale Architecture

Hale architecture is a commercial architecture practice set up by Paul Hartley and Roland Lee. The practice was formed in response to a growing portfolio of data centre, research and technology, industrial and logistic clients.

Bringing together extensive experience in architecture, development and design management, Hale has been set up to address the needs and requirements of the commercial property sector including, amongst others the following development types:

Mixed Use – retail parks, offices and out of town retail parks.

Industrial / Logistics – All forms including warehousing, logistics, storage and distribution

Technology – Data centres, research and development and pharmaceutical

Refurbishment – Office, industrial, logistic space

Paul Hartley was formally a Director at Hamiltons Architects and Roland Lee was formally Design Director at the Easter Group.

Principles

Roland Lee

Prior to forming Hale Architecture with Paul Hartley in 2012, Roland worked as Design and Programme Director for the Easter Group, a commercial property development and investment company for 7 years.

Over this period Roland was directly involved in the delivery over five million sqft of new buildings both speculatively and for a range of occupiers working on all of the Group’s development projects concentrating on design, planning, environmental and pre-contract aspects along with the delivery of a market leading quality product.

Before joining the Easter Group Roland worked for nine years as an Associate Director with Hamilton Associates with specific responsibility for new industrial and logistics space.

Roland is a qualified architect and member of the RIBA

Paul Hartley

Prior to forming Hale Architecture with Roland Lee in 2012, Paul was an equity Director at Hamiltons Architects with responsibility for office and industrial workspace.

Paul has delivered a number of high profile projects throughout the UK including new build offices in Berkeley Square, London, a five hundred thousand square foot business park in Weybridge, Surrey and in excess of six million square feet of industrial and logistics space for a broad range of institutional investors, funders , developers and owner occupiers.

Paul has also worked overseas including mixed use retail and office developments in Milan and a fifty acre research and development campus in Bangalore for a multinational oil and gas company which is on site and will be delivered in a single phase. The park includes research and development laboratories, pilot plant stations, staff gymnasiums, restaurants, sports grounds, retail and recreation facilities as well as a transport interchange.
