Your new company
Hays are delighted to be supporting our client in the housing sector in recruiting a Disrepair Clerk of Works to join their team for an initial six-week assignment, with the potential for further extension.

Your new role
Your new role will support in the management of disrepair claims, key to ensuring work is completed within set timescales and to a high standard to ensure customer/tenant satisfaction. You will work with senior management and contractors to ensure resources are allocated correctly and deadlines are met, and using your knowledge of property repairs and management, provide expert advice. You should prepare detailed reports on repairs carried out to report back to management and support strategies to address disrepair issues.

This role is a Monday to Friday position, with site travel across Birmingham and the West Midlands, but you will only be required to be in Head Office for one day each week, with the rest of your time spent on site/working from home.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you should be an experienced disrepair professional, with a strong background in identifying disrepair issues and organising required works to be carried out, then checking to ensure these are to a high standard. You will ideally be RICS OR CIOB Chartered, although this isn't absolutely essential for candidates with strong sector experience. You will be required to be in Birmingham and the West Midlands for this role and so a full, clean driving licence is essential.

Candidates require the right to work in the UK at the time of application and Visa sponsorship will not be offered, so candidates without the right to work need not apply.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an hourly rate of between £25 - £30 per hour for this six-week (potentially longer) assignment.
