Job Details

We are recruiting for a Civils Site Engineer to join a highly reputable Civil Engineering Contractor who work on some of the most exciting Heavy Civils projects in the UK

Starting with a project in Birkenhead, this will involve national travel, but ideally, we are looking for somebody from the local North Wales / Chester / Wirral / Merseyside area

The Wirral project has c.3months left on site, and then you'll be joining another team working on a similar project somewhere else in the UK.

Reporting into the Project Managers on site, you'll have experience working as a Site Engineer on Civils projects previously and must have an interest and an appetite working on potentially large Civil Engineering schemes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveying, setting out, and volume checks
  • Produce accurate quantities and 3D models from ground investigation data
  • Manage machine control setup and ensure on-site accuracy
  • Monitor earthworks' progress and report weekly volumes
  • Interpret engineering drawings to meet client requirements
  • Prepare and submit weekly progress reports
  • Ensure adequate resources to meet project timescales
  • Support procurement processes and monitor supplier performance
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Mentor apprentice engineers and promote innovation

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
  • 4-5 years' site experience in Civils, Roads, Drainage, Earthworks & RC works
  • Proficient in Topcon/Trimble/Leica machine control and surveying techniques
  • Strong computer literacy and commercial awareness
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel


A competitive salary plus benefits package is on offer for the successful candidate. Plus, if lodging away on future schemes, a lodging allowance will be included in the package
