Interim Senior Building Surveyor

A Local Authority in London is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their Housing Division. With responsibility for over 10,000 residential properties and an annual investment of £20m+ in planned maintenance and improvements, this role is crucial in shaping the future of their housing stock.

Your new role

• Conduct detailed property surveys and recommend necessary improvements.
• Plan and assess future building works to maintain optimal housing conditions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high professional standards.
• Use innovative solutions to address investment needs within budget constraints.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years post-graduate construction experience, preferably in local government.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and asset management systems.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse tenant populations.
• Experience in social housing and knowledge of HHSRS surveys.
• Familiarity with hand-held surveying devices.
