Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services
Location: Derbyshire
Pay Rate: £40 - £50 per hour
Duration: 3+ Months
Start Date: Immediate
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (1-2 days from home)
Hours: 7:30am - 5:00pm (flexible office hours)


Job Description:Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking for your next exciting challenge? Our client, a leading M&E Contractor based in Derbyshire, is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, with values ranging from £1m to £5m.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for building services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Work on diverse projects, including student accommodation, educational facilities, food industry buildings, and sheds.
  • Utilise Revit software to create detailed electrical designs, meeting the growing demand from clients for these types of drawings.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of electrical installations.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project deliverables.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.


Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in MEP Revit, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in other electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux, and Relux.
  • Honest, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building services, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
