Senior Technician (Structures)

Your new company
You will be working for a local council based out of Winchester.

Your new role

Initial work will be reviewing existing BIM Models and updating these with construction information to an as-built status.

The work may also include:

• The preparation of technical design drawings / models and contract documents, to ensure the implementation of structure maintenance, projects and improvements within published programmes and budgets.
• The collection, assessment and impartment of information that is essential to the successful scheme preparation and implementation process to include liaison with outside bodies and contractors.
• The preparation of estimates for the purpose of budget assessment and monitoring.
• To liaise with relevant bodies (i.e. contractors, statutory undertakers etc.) and visit site to assist in providing solutions to construction issues.
• Give due consideration to Health and Safety and sustainability in identifying design solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Structural technician who is competent using REVIT software.
You have an RQF Level 4 in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
You will have Experience in the design and construction of structural, geotechnical or civil engineering projects.
Competent in the preparation of structural maintenance or improvement, including the production of detailed drawings and schedules
Competent user of CAD software (Civil 3D, MX, AutoCAD etc.) and structural design software (LUSAS etc.)
