Freelance Planner - Highways

Your new company
You will be joining a forward-thinking and innovative Tier 1 contractor whose main purpose is to build a better society with a customer-focused mindset. This contractor has an exciting opportunity working on a dual carriage way project in the Birmingham area which you will be a part of.

Your new role
You will be working as a Planner on a £250 Million + project in the Birmingham area where you will have full responsibility of the contract programme update cycle which has been developed. Therefore, you will maintain it with progress and change. You will maintain existing project controls and assist in review of subcontractor programmes to ensure compliance with NEC. Furthermore, you will be reading drawings, specifications and contracts.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will need on-site construction experience as an Engineer or as a Manager as you will be reading drawings, specifications and contracts. Additionally, you will be familiar with working on NEC model contracts under the employment of a Tier 1 Contractor. Furthermore, you will be competent at using Primavera 6. A construction/civil engineering degree is advantageous however not essential.
