Your new companyYour new company are a property and construction consultancy specialising in Civil & Structural Engineering, Surveying, Environmental, Planning and Architecture, offering all services to their well-stablished UK and international client base.
With over 1,000 employees across 14 UK offices, your new company are in the top 15 of Building Magazine's Top 150 Consultants, and continue to rise having secured a recent cash injection from an ambitious private equity investor.
Your new roleYour new role will see see you joining the company as a Senior Structural Engineer, based in Manchester or Liverpool city centres within a Buildings Infrastructure design team of 36, reporting into an Associate or Partner. You will be in part responsible for the detailed and conceptual design of an incredible variety of buildings in the commercial, residential, education, industrial, heritage, research, motorsport and defence sectors, with project values ranging from £100,000 - £100m+.
Managing multiple projects from conception to completion, undertaking design, checking drawings, supervising junior engineers and technicians, preparing reports and undertaking surveys will all be important elements of your new role.
What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed you will need a minimum of a BEng in Civil Engineering and around 6 years' relevant UK experience. Although chartership with the ICE/IStructE is non-essential, for the more senior Principal Engineer position at a higher salary it is highly desirable.
Significant building design experience across multiple sectors ideally with a variety of materials from steelwork to timber is also needed as well as experience with the likes of AutoCAD, TEDDS and Tekla.
What you'll get in returnIn return you will receive a highly competitive annual salary up to £60,000 depending on your level of previous design and management experience and CEng status. 25 days of annual leave and a 6% pension contribution are standard, both rising with time served.
