Your new role
As a permanent Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts, from procurement to interim and final account agreement.
- Attending monthly CVR meetings to present the current financial situation on projects and producing accurate cashflow forecasts.
- Overseeing the commercial administration and management on live projects or projects at the pre-construction phase.
- Managing and controlling subcontract orders, accounts, and variation accounts in line with the main contract and subcontract database.
- Developing an understanding of all designated contracts, specifications, and pricing to ensure compliance with conditions throughout the contracts.
- **Completing remeasurements on all trades to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.**
- Reporting to a Senior Surveyor and collaborating with the project team to ensure successful project delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
- A HNC or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to remeasure accounts on all trades.
- Proficiency in producing bills of quantities from drawings.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the supply chain and/or external clients to maximise profit.
- High level of numeracy and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work well within a team
