Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
You will be working for a Civil Engineering contractor based in the East Midlands area. The contractor has a strong pipeline of work across the East Midlands. Working on an array of civils projects with project values of up to £10million. The contractor offers great opportunities to progress within your career, assisting with training and progression within the company.

Your new role
You will be reporting to the commercial team and be responsible for, but not limited to, preparing estimates and tender submissions in line with tender enquiries and company procedures, obtaining/agreeing suitable material prices and hired plant rates for inclusion within the tenders, liaising with clients and the contracts department as well as maintaining good relationships with all parties and disseminating all necessary information promptly.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will be confident in quantity surveying and estimating from first principles. In addition, you will also understand the process of getting a project priced up, cost plans and understand the timings to get each process followed through. Finally, you will be an effective team player and communicator.
