Interim Head of Asset Management

Our clients, a public sector organisation based in South London are looking to recruit an Interim Head of Asset Management to join their team on an ongoing contractual basis. The organisation's offices in South London are in a very commutable location with excellent transport links for both buses and trains. They also promote a hybrid and flexible working policy, giving you an excellent work-life balance, enabling you to either work from home or the office.

Your new role

As part of the extended management team, you will be working collaboratively across the department with other Heads of Service & Directors to ensure effective and efficient delivery and development of the councils' objectives. As the successful candidate, you will be accountable for the strategic leadership of the Property and Asset Management team in the provision of Asset Management to provide leadership to ensure the delivery of cost-effective, safe and efficient support services to the council.
What you'll need to succeed

As the successful candidate, you will need to demonstrate a proven ability and experience of managing large teams and have a track record within a Local Government setting, be responsible for managing the team who collate and coordinate stock data, which informs future investment decisions and supports grant funding applications.
A combination of experience in effective resident engagement and conducting commercial negotiations within multi-stakeholder environments is also key to your skills set.
