Senior Project Manager

*EXPERIENCE WITH STUDENT SYSTEMS IS MANDATORY*

The organisation delivers a full range of IT services to all users and this role will join the IT Portfolio community. They run a wide range of projects and programmes to improve the current services and transform the staff and user experience into a diverse community.
Role and responsibilities:

• Must have Student record systems experience
• You will already have significant Project Management experience, including delivery of multiple concurrent, large and technically complex ICT projects and programmes.
• Engage with a range of stakeholders across the organisation and this role would suit someone who enjoys collaborating across the organisation
• You will have strengths in project planning, prioritisation and delivery that support our strategic direction.
• You will demonstrate excellent direct and indirect communication skills appropriate for a wide cross-section of stakeholders.
• You will be able to build, manage and motivate project teams in a matrix management environment. You will be professional, clear thinking under pressure and act as a role model within the IT Portfolio.

Selection criteria

• Experience of HE technical delivery
• Significant Programme and Project Leadership experience
• In-depth knowledge of programme and project management methods and principles
• Exceptional leadership and organisational skills
• In-depth understanding of performance evaluation principles
• Proficiency in various programme management software, including MS Office, MS Project and Basecamp
• Ability to manage a team and stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Attention to detail and time management skills
