Area Surveyor - Oxfordshrie

Your new company
As a skilled area surveyor, you will join a provider of affordable housing and extra care facilities based in the Oxfordshire region. Your new employer prides themselves on the provision of safe and affordable homes for those who need them most. You will lead the delivery of maintenance across a portfolio of over 7,000 homes across the region, working in partnership with a framework contractor, project managers, and damp & mould specialists.

Your new role
You will help to oversee a maintenance operation across a portfolio of social homes in Oxfordshire. Acting in a clerk of works capacity, you will undertake inspections on reported repair issues within social housing, checking that works are completed and are being completed to a high standard, and that homes are compliant. Once defects have been identified, you will appoint the contractor to manage work through until completion.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have property inspection experience, ideally inspecting ongoing repair or project works within a maintenance setting. A HND or HNC in construction, building surveying, or a similar subject, will be advantageous.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive an initial contract with 9-12 months initial duration, alongside a competitive daily rate of pay. Longer term opportunities are available, including potential progression into permanent employment.
