Building Surveyor

Your new role
Assist in the running of the Disposal Portfolio and Asset Disposal Programme of its surplus assets supporting the preparation of information and reports to ensure Council Governance is satisfied to dispose of surplus assets.
Supporting the commissioning of diligence, engaging external advisors and providers in order that options can be considered.
Deal with variations or instructions as directed during the marketing and legal phase of the disposal to deliver completion. Monitor consultants, advice and agents to assess their value for money, performance and delivery, escalating the matter where this is not the case.
Ensure decisions are obtained and the process is managed effectively, all disposal outcomes are recorded, and the programme is on track, escalating any issues if necessary.

Support the disposal team generally to enable assessment of options, risk exposure and actions.

What you'll need to succeed
Educated to Degree level education preferably in a property related field and/or working towards a property professional qualification.

Experience of working within the public sector and an understanding of Council decision making and processes.
