Your new company
As an experienced, professional Damp and Mould Surveyor, you will join a committed and passionate housing maintenance team based in Oxfordshire. Your new client is responsible for the continuous development, maintenance, and safety of over 8,000 homes located across the region. You will join a motivated and ambitious team, who pride themselves on thinking outside of the box in order to solve challenges and make progress within assets and operational repairs.
Your new role
You will join an operational housing repair team in order to lead on the resolution to damp and mould issues within social housing specifically. As a Damp and Mould Surveyor, you will visit effected properties in order to undertake an initial inspection and to diagnose the severity of the issues. After initial defect diagnosis, you will create a schedule of works and report based on your findings before engaging with a framework contractor in order to ensure that identified defects have been repaired to the required standard. As part of your role, you will robustly supervise contractors, ensuring that works are completed on time, within budget, and that tenant satisfaction is at a high level throughout.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position, it is important that you have direct experience working within a housing repair and maintenance setting as a surveyor, specifically identifying and troubleshooting damp and mould issues. In addition, a technical background within building surveying will be useful, alongside a related qualification, which could be a degree, HND, or HNC.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an initial six-month contract, which is highly likely to extend to nine or potentially twelve months in duration. In addition, you will receive a daily rate of up to £370 per day (umbrella), and will have the opportunity to work flexibly, and on a hybrid basis across the duration of your contract.
