Colchester Based Salary £25,000 annually and range of benefits

Monday - Friday 8:30 - 17:00

Flexible and Hybrid working/ on-site parking

Hays are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join an upcoming organisation in Colchester. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you'll play a crucial role within the finance team ensuring the management of invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming payments runs in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, authorising, and recording accounts payable data.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure accurate posting of all bills and payments.
• Investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
• Facilitate payment of invoices by sending reminders and contacting clients.
• Generate reports on accounts payable status.

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills and proficiency with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
