Your new role
As a Senior or Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer, your role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Designing and managing a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation and interpretative projects for both external clients and for other teams within the wider business.

  • Overseeing ground investigations
  • Contract administration
  • Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling
  • Geotechnical analysis and design

What you'll need to succeed

  • BEng or BSc or equivalent in Civil, Geology or Geotechnical Engineering or similar
  • Typically, a further degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Environmental Science or equivalent would be desirable
  • Registered with a suitable professional body and either be Chartered or anticipate gaining chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g. Geol Soc/CIWEM/ICE) in the near future
  • Typically, it would require at least around 7-10 years of specific relevant experience.
  • A thorough understanding of geology, ground investigation works, engineering geology and geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive salary in line with your experience, ranging from £45,000 - £60,000 + annual discretionary bonus based on personal and company financial performance
  • Contributory Pension Scheme
  • Free life assurance cover
  • A flexible benefits programme including the option to buy additional holidays and private health care
