Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
Our client is a busy Fitout and Refurbishment contractor based in Edinburgh. They are very active in assisting blue chip premium public and private sector clients develop exceptional retail and commercial space across Edinburgh and beyond. With a busy set of projects due to hit site they are now seeking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.
Your new role
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be working on a range of fitout projects up to a value of £2million. From working with the in-house joinery and manufacturing business to working with the Project Managers in procuring and managing specialist trades, you will be the commercial lead on a range of projects. As you develop your experience, you will get the opportunity to work on larger and complex projects and take full commercial control. Reporting to an exceptional commercial director, this is your opportunity to develop your existing skill set in a commercially stimulating environment.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is a degree-qualified quantity surveyor who has already worked in a building and construction environment but is now seeking to make a move to a more established and busy business. You will be well-organised, hardworking and ambitious to take your career in quantity surveying forward. You will enjoy working on a quick turn around projects and see working in this space as a way for you to develop your experience quickly. Our client works with a series of exceptional stakeholders within this space, and you will get the opportunity to learn from a range of professionals, such as consultancies, client PMs etc.
