Building Surveyor

You will be working for a housing association that has a substantial housing stock in Cumbria
Your new role
As a Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the delivery of property investment, service and inspection, and repairs services to a designated portfolio of properties (approximately 20-40 locations).

Working closely with housing or care operations teams, you will ensure the timely delivery of services, good maintenance of properties, and that you meet property strategy targets.

Your responsibilities will include identifying and correcting building defects, managing project delivery, analysing property performance, identifying cost savings, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.You will:

• Work with operational colleagues and residents to ensure homes are safe secure, and well maintained.
• Lead and manage the delivery of property investment, service, and inspection, and repairs services to the designated portfolio of properties.
• Undertake regular inspections of the property condition.
• Ensure necessary repairs and planned works are delivered in the most cost-effective manner.
• Assess properties to review future investment and repair planning.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience working as a Building Surveyor for a social housing organisation. You will have a property/ construction related qualification and will hold a full driving licence.
What you'll get in return
12 month Fixed Term contract
£43,800 per year (scope for temp to perm contract)
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Flexible hybrid working hours- wfh 2 days per week
