Exciting Opportunity: Part-time Finance manager
Are you ready to lead the financial strategy for a dynamic public sector organisation? We're seeking a Finance manager to drive effective financial planning, promote their organisation as a leader in its sector, and ensure continued growth and learning.
Role Overview:
- Leadership: You'll lead the finance team, ensuring its efficient functioning.
- Strategic Involvement: As part of the Senior Management Team (SMT), you'll actively participate in key decisions related to strategic planning, implementation, review, and impact assessment.
- Financial Controls: Implement robust financial controls, policies, and procedures across all activities, including planning, budgeting, income generation, expenditure, and reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure organization-wide compliance with internal financial procedures and legal requirements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Cashflow Management: Oversee cashflow to maintain financial stability.
- Year-End Accounts: Prepare year-end accounts and reconciliations.
- Performance Analysis: Provide reports to the Leadership Team and Board of Trustees, analysing performance against KPIs.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in financial management within an organization.
- Familiarity with charity accounting and SORP reporting requirements.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Knowledge of data protection and GDPR compliance.
- Experience overseeing payroll.
