Construction Inspector (Buildings) - Property Services
Work Location: Patch Worker – Covering Hampshire and Partnering Organisation locations.
Hours per week: 37 (Flexible working for this role may be considered. Please state your preferences on your application)
Contract Type: Permanent (Part time applications will be considered).
Interview Date: Interviews will be held week commencing 15 April 2024, please note we may invite for interview earlier if suitable candidates have applied.
The Role:
Property Services is Hampshire County Council's in-house team of multi-disciplinary construction professionals and specialist support staff delivering a range of property functions from new build, refurbishments, and extensions through to maintenance and compliance activities. It encompasses the council's estate and those of our partner organisations and includes schools, offices, and other various public buildings.
You will form part of our Technical Services team who are responsible for quality assurance, site inspection, technical advice, fire safety, risk & compliance, accessibility, construction health & safety and after care services.
The main focus of the role will to be assist with the delivery of quality assurance and health and safety on construction projects, providing the necessary assurance and evidencing through a structured approach of checking, monitoring, auditing, and reporting.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and contractors you will maintain both Property Services’ and the Clients interests using processes that are robust, evidenced, and appropriate for the risk.
