You will be joining a fitout contractor based in Nottingham who specialise in fast track fitout projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, this company are looking to onboard a Jr / Graduate Project Manager to join their team based out of Nottingham. Your new role
As a trainee construction project manager, your role involves supporting experienced project managers in various aspects of site management. Here are some key responsibilities for a trainee project manager in the construction field:

  • Assisting Project Managers: You'll work closely with project managers to support daily operations on construction sites. This includes coordinating tasks, managing resources, and ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Site Management: You'll learn how to oversee construction activities, monitor progress, and ensure that work is carried out efficiently and safely. This involves understanding project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Trainee project managers assist in managing project budgets. You'll learn how to estimate costs, track expenses, and make sure the project stays within budget.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: You'll help create and manage construction schedules, ensuring that tasks are completed on time. Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers is essential.
  • Quality Assurance: Trainees learn about quality control processes. You'll help ensure that work meets industry standards and project specifications.

Experience within construction would be advantageous, but not a necessity as the main focus for this position is someone who is wanting to start their career within construction project management and develop.
