Job Details

Your new company
Joining Oxford City Council's Regeneration & Economy Team is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a city steeped in history and innovation. You'll be at the forefront of an ambitious capital programme designed to meet the council's corporate objectives: fostering and inclusive economy, delivering more affordable housing, supporting vibrant economies and also pursuing a zero-carbon Oxford.

HAYS are delighted to be working in partnership with the council to present an exciting new two-year fixed-term opportunity for Regeneration Manager.

Your new role
As a Regeneration Manager, you will provide leadership to capital projects ranging from large-scale mixed regeneration through to infrastructure schemes - you will engage with communities, develop business cases, draft funding bids, and project manage the direct delivery of capital projects. There are a number of projects close to entering construction phase, providing an opportunity to become involved in a number of critical phases of schemes quickly upon joining.
You will:

  • Lead on projects at all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept through to development, through feasibility and detailed design through to construction completion and evaluation.
  • Commission the delivery of multi-million-pound developments, working with technical teams and development partners.
  • Build and maintain strategic working relationships with a range of key stakeholders.
  • Identify and secure funding, both through funding bids and strategic investment cases.

What you'll need to succeed
If you are a chartered construction manager or have experience as an intelligent client working on major schemes, then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. You will need to have experience in delivering capital projects, alongside an understanding of relevant frameworks and methodologies, including RIBA plan of works.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a salary of up to £61,626 per annum. It's not all about the money! - Oxford City Council are proud to boast a market-leading benefits package and flexible working culture to meet with your personal circumstance and to allow you to live a healthy and balanced life. Benefits include annual leave starting at 28 days + bank holidays, access to the local government pension scheme, and a hybrid working policy which will allow you to undertake the majority of your role from home.
