Your new company
We are looking for a freelance operations manager with previous water treatment experience to join our client and work on a Severn Trent water treatment project across the Midlands. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the project, ensuring that the water treatment systems are running efficiently and safely, and managing the budget, schedule, and quality of the project deliverables.
Your new role
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the water treatment operations, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of the water treatment equipment and facilities
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the water treatment systems, ensuring compliance with the environmental and health standards and regulations
- Manage the project budget, schedule, and scope, and report on the project progress and status to the stakeholders
- Communicate and collaborate with the project team, the client, the subcontractors, and the suppliers, and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and innovation in the water treatment operations and processes
- Ensure the health and safety of the project staff and the public, and adhere to the company policies and procedures
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, environmental science, or related field etc
- At least 5+ years of experience in water treatment operations, preferably in the UK water industry
- Knowledge of the water treatment technologies, methods, and standards, and familiarity with the Severn Trent water treatment project
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Willingness to travel and work on-site across the Midlands
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
