Your new company
Internationally recognised construction company operating across multiple countries. Their projects span across multiple sectors including Commercial, Healthcare, Residential and Education delivering both new build projects and maintenance frameworks
Your new role
Reporting in to the Operations Director they are looking for a Planner to work on a Healthcare project in the Peterborough area. You will establish and update overall project programmes for design, procurement and construction
Some of the main responsibilities include:
- Provide an operational planning service to ensure design, procurement, construction, decanting and commissioning activities are monitored and controlled in respect of time.
- Develop logistics strategy and planning.
- Participate in defining work package breakdown, identifying scope of works.
- Participate in value engineering and buildability exercises.
- Conduct leading edge critical analysis of sequencing and sequencing methodologies.
- Produce and maintain work package document incorporating current and progressed procurement schedules, bar charts and package content sheets.
- Make recommendations and provide advice to project teams on programming issues to better programme duration.
- Agree work package contract programmes and incorporate into main programme.
- Challenge programme proposals to maximise efficiency.
- Identify any programming technical advancements that may provide a company advantage.
- Monitor both off-site and on -site progress; maintain records and report highlighting any deviations to programme.
- Attend and chair where necessary planning coordination meetings to ensure design, procurement and construction are co-ordinated in respect of time, priorities are identified and communications between all disciplines are enhanced.
- Prepare, issue and monitor information requirement schedules
- Preparation of all weekly/monthly/quarterly progress reports collating information from the construction team and package contractors.
- Liaise with Site management to agree programme and implementation activities.
- Prepare and issue monthly report (Planning and Project)
- Daily/monthly short term + long term planning
What you\'ll need to succeed
- A recent history of site-based planning experience
- Sound planning experience together with a strong acumen is essential along with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
