This opportunity is unique in the public sector. It offers you the headline-grabbing, varied projects you will not find anywhere else in the public sector, you will be working on multiple town centre regeneration projects, City Centre high rise residential, City Centre student accommodation and commercial offices as well as Manchester Airport and the Etihad Stadium to name a few.
You will be responsible for the building control team - which is a team of 20, including the financial and operational performance of the team. As the Technical Manager for the service you will report to the Assistant Director. Your role is to improve standards in relation to buildings, building work and public safety, and to develop the partnerships needed to maintain the high standards of service delivery.

What you'll need to be successful:
If you are a building control inspector at senior or principal level then get in touch!
You should be chartered with MCIOB/ MCIOB/ MCABE and a Level 4 - Specialist level in accordance with the Building Inspector Competence Framework, if not the Council will support you in obtaining this.
