Job Details

Your new company
Your new company has designed and delivered over 300 gardens in London over the past 12 years. They are now offering their services to gardens in the Bournemouth & Dorset area following their recent move to the South Coast. They carry out garden design and landscaping projects for a variety of clients, ranging from residential gardens, school gardens, office gardens, pub gardens and a variety of other garden spaces.
Your new role
This role has the possibility to go temp to perm if both parties are happy after a period of time. This is an ongoing job, so there is the potential for a lot of ongoing work. In your new role you will be responsible for managing the site and also taking a hands-on approach to the work being done. You will be required to help with the workload and organise the trade on site and ensure everything is running efficiently. In your new role, you\'ll be primarily Bournemouth & Dorset based, but if any projects do arise where travel is required over 1 hour away, you can be compensated for travel costs. You will be a fundamental part of a new team, and need to have some level of management experience on site, as well as experience working on site hands-on.
What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you\'ll need to have some level of managing a site team, you\'ll also need to be able to help with the work being done and taking a hands-on approach. You\'ll need First Aid, SSSTS or above. If you have groundwork and setting out knowledge, this is beneficial but not essential. Also, if you\'ve been involved in any outdoor projects, landscaping, modular kit, timber, and panelling jobs, this is also beneficial experience. Someone from a carpentry background would have good experience, and there may be basic landscaping duties involved too, such as wet work, brickwork, putting fences up.
What you\'ll get in return
In return, you will have a consistent workload, and you will be a key part of a new team, meaning there are chances for progression to Site Manager levels if you prove yourself to the business when you start. This position is also likely to become permanent if both parties are happy with how things are going. You will be compensated for travel if you have to travel over an hour for a project (if that situation ever arises). You will also have 1:1 training on their systems and will work closely with the Director, who will get you entirely up to speed.
