Infrastructure Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis for an organisation based in Farnborough who are going through a period of growth, change and transformation. This is a hybrid role based in the office two days a week.
The role
You'll be joining a well-established and diverse organisation and team who are specialists in their field, backed by a strong track record of delivering excellent service to their customers. You'll be joining a passionate and experienced team reporting to the Head of Infrastructure working closely with the existing IT Support and Infrastructure team and wider business, across the Group.
As the Infrastructure Engineer, you will seek to automate or eliminate repeatable tasks and reduce administrative overheads for themselves and for the Technology Workplace operations, including configuration variations, performance issues on endpoint devices and security vulnerabilities.
Collaboration with project and delivery teams along with technology vendors, product partners, security and compliance teams are key ensuring alignment along with providing technology support within the technology workplace support team.

You will have:
Experience administering and managing IT systems and platforms (Network, Server, Cloud based – AWS/Azure), with strong Server experience (ideally with previous experience building Servers in the Cloud).
Along with experience of creating scripts with PowerShell, Back and other scripting languages, and of configuration management, identity and access management, active directory, desktop virtualisation, collaboration platforms and other cloud-based services.
You will be process driven and strive to improve existing and create new processes to assist with the organisation becoming Leaner. You will be customer-centric, with excellent communication skills and able to build relationships across the Group with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
