Project Accountant

Your new company
You will be joining a well established division of a listed group, headquartered close to Cobham, Surrey. They provide construction services across the South and as they embark on a new business strategy, they seek a talented Project Accountant to join the team and support both finance and operations.


Your new role
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the MD, you will be taking charge of all the key contracts that the company delivers. You'll oversee the financials for each project, preparing monthly accounts as well as performance packs for Leadership review. You'll also oversee the budgeting and forecasting process for each project, reporting on variances, risk and opportunity. Alongside this, you'll oversee regular cashflow updates and report these figures to the MD. As a finance partner to "non finance", you'll work closely with operations to help them understand their numbers and suggest areas for improvement in spend.


What you'll need to succeed
In addition to your professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/equivalent) you should have proven experience within management accounting and business partnering. Project accounting or experience overseeing multiple projects finances would be advantageous. Most importantly is a "can do" positive approach.
