Your new role
As a Freelance Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our commercial and groundworks projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting cost estimates, preparing tender documents, and evaluating bids
• Managing project budgets and monitoring costs throughout the construction process
• Assessing and negotiating variations, claims, and final accounts
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting
• Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and identify any potential cost implications
• Providing commercial advice and support to project stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards

What you'll need to succeed

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (essential)
• Proven experience in commercial and groundworks projects, demonstrating your ability to handle the specific requirements and challenges of these sectors
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as Excel and cost management software
