Your new role
Due to a growing team the position of a Managing Quantity Surveyor has become available to join the Anglian Water framework. The current scheme is creating hundreds of kilometres of new, interconnecting pipelines to help combat the impact of climate change and keep fresh, clean water flowing across the Anglian Water region. The new network is one of the largest infrastructure projects for a generation and is a complex and challenging major infrastructure project.
As a strong leader, you will provide commercial management for multiple large projects (£70m+ pipeline and NI) of an embedded alliance contract. Managing a small team of commercial professionals, you will be accountable to the Commercial Lead.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the highest levels of commercial integrity and financial self-assurance
  • Commercial management of the allocated project area
  • Provide transparent, accurate and timely commercial reporting
  • Adherence to the embedded alliance internal governance to satisfy contractual and legal requirements
  • Constantly striving to embed best commercial management practices
  • Identify and delivering commercial process efficiencies
  • Identify and proactively managing financial and commercial risk
  • Foster close working relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Engendering a culture of commercial challenge
  • Control costs, maximising value and minimising future liabilities
  • Line management of direct Commercial Performance reports



What you'll need to succeed

  • Thorough understanding of NEC3 forms of contract
  • Working in a complex matrix team environment
  • Water industry experience (preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of relevant construction and contract law
  • Full UK driving licence
