Junior Quantity Surveyor (Civils)

Your new company
An exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic Graduate or Junior Quantity Surveyor tojoin an established Commercial Team. Roles available in Glasgow. You will receive guidance and support to put your studies into practical application as you progress to work more autonomously. To provide effective commercial support across a variety of projects, including civils, structural concrete repair, and rail.


Your new role
Role is office based with regular site visits required to take projects from contract award through to final accounts including:

Cost management
Reporting and forecasting
Supply chain evaluation and procurement
Contract review and negotiation
Negotiation, management and administration of sub-contract accounts
Change management
Issuing contractual notifications
Negotiation and agreement of compensation events
Production and agreement of final accounts
Providing commercial advice to Operational team


What you'll need to succeed
A highly motivated self-starter, you will have:

BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent qualification, experience gained from an industrial placement would be advantageous and a good working knowledge of MS Office (minimum of Word and Excel).
