Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The most exciting and emerging cost consultancy in London & South East! Our client continues to recruit on the back of more project wins, consequently they’re wanting to hire another experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their success story!

Our client are a niche, independent cost consultancy with notably strong cohort of training Quantity Surveying candidates (APC) whom are currently driving the business forward through a very exciting time.

Candidates willing to apply must have a Quantity Surveying degree (UK awarded) with some tangible UK cost consultancy experience (to a maximum of 4 years) – and dependent on experience, you’ll principally be supporting others on a number of exciting commercial projects across the business, but you’ll be managing schemes if your talent / proven track record allows. This really is a fantastic opportunity for a budding surveyor, keen to flourish in a vibrant and ambitious team on a firm upward trajectory!

Again, dependent of experience, your role will include a multitude of traditional tasks from rudimentary pre & post contract administration duties (measurement, tender reviews, reporting, budget estimating etc) and other responsibilities such as controlling purchase orders, attending design and site meetings, inspections, compiling defects and assessing completions, assistance with project documentation (JCT).  Our clients’ current portfolio consists of high end residential, hospitality and hotel development and alongside offering traditional pre & post contract administration services they also offer Employers Agent services.

Candidates wishing to apply must have eligibility to work in the UK (without restriction), you must have completed a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (RICS accredited) with a minimum of 12 months professional experience, and again, to a maximum of 4 years.  

Key personal criteria includes being personable, articulate and presentable to manage clients accordingly. If capable, you will be given immediate opportunities re: client management so you should demonstrate confidence and resilience in your ability to handle this level of responsibility form an early stage. Candidates should also have good, competent IT software skills.
