Your new company
As a Specialist Works Surveyor you will join a housing landlord and developer who operate predominantly in the Bath region, overseeing the maintenance and continuous improvement of housing stock in the region of various age and type. Your new employer are one of the largest landlords across the Southwest region, managing over 13,000 homes which are home to over 25,000 residents.
Your new role
You will be joining in a critical role which will ensure of the safe condition of residential properties for thousands of tenants across the region. As a specialist works surveyor you will undertake thorough property inspections, identifying repair needs, especially those which are most urgent. Your role will involve collaboration and robust management of building contractors, project managing works to ensure they are completed to the required standard, in line with health & safety standards and within outlined timescales. You will chair project progress meetings across a complex stakeholder environment, and ensure tenant satisfaction is high at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position you will need to demonstrate excellent technical understanding of property defects specifically within residential properties. A degree in building surveying, or an HNC or HND in construction (or equivalent) would be advantageous.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an hourly rate of pay of up to £35 per hour (umbrella), although this is negotiate dependent on experience and qualifications. This rate will be paid to you on a weekly basis, for the entire duration of a six-month contract.
