Job Title: Senior Building Surveyor (Housing)
Location: North West, Homebased
Salary: £50,000 basic salary + £6000 car allowance + excellent benefits package

Your new role
Reporting directly into the Head of Property this is an integral leadership role in the surveying team overseeing the North West surveying team. (6 direct reports at one given time). The Senior Building Surveyor will be responsible for managing the delivery of property services, improvements, repairs and property investment across the North West portfolio down to the midlands region (circa 200 properties). Working as part of a multidisciplined property team (planning, quantity surveying, building surveyors etc) you will be responsible for ensuring the North West property portfolio is kept in good condition and in line with health and safety and company standards. The Senior Surveyor will have overall responsibility of building compliance and contract management arrangements (NEC/ JCT) ensuring contractual obligations are met. Duties include:
•Managing a team of 6 Surveyors, developing, supporting and motivating colleagues.
• Analyse performance of properties to advising on repair planning and informing on future investment across the building portfolio.
• Develop and maintain property risk registers.
• Providing delivery of forecasts in collaboration with contractors.


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal Senior Building Surveyor will have previous line management experience and have a proven background in managing a large residential portfolio. You must have a proven background in contract administration (JCT or NEC) with experience of project management , compliance services and/or reactive maintenance work.
