Your new company
Your new company is a multidisciplinary Civil & Structural engineering consultancy based in the heart of Liverpool city centre. With 35 technical staff split across their civil and structural departments, your new company is a well established medium sized enterprise with a strong and varied client based that continues to grow.
Strong relationships with developers and contractors has enabled your new company to win exciting repeat business and provide innovative engineering solutions nationally across the healthcare, education, commercial, leisure and residential sectors. The practice has successfully delivered projects up to £400m, whilst retaining the flexibility and staff-focused approach which made them successful initially.
Your new company is also BIM Level II accredited and as such has clearance to design on the latest state-of-the-art and high project value facilities.
Your new role
Your new role will see you joining the civils team of 10 as a civil engineering technician primarily responsible for producing 2D and 3D drawings for engineers across numerous projects simultaneously. You will also be tasked with the preparation of calculations, reports, specifications, reports and other project documentation where needed for senior technicians and engineers across all departments.
What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need at least 4 years\' relevant UK industry experience and a minimum of an HNC or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering. It is also essential that you are a fluent user of AutoCAD and Civil3D/PDS/Microdrainage and able to use the software indepenantly and simultaneously across multiple projects.
A working knowledge of highway and drainage S278/38 agreements as well as some understanding of flood risk assesments and sustainable drainage systems are also desirable. Being a team player and having strong verbal and written communication skills are all valued highly at your new company.
What you\'ll get in return
In return you will receive a highly competitive salary in the range of £35,000 - £45,000 depending on industry experience and previous level of responsibility.
