Income Officer

Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Income Officer to join our team at Hays. This is a temporary position, to assist us in managing and optimising our rental income collection processes.

Responsibilities:
- Proactively communicate with tenants regarding rental payments, arrears, and payment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant accounts and update the database regularly.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile and allocate payments correctly.
- Identify and address any potential issues that may affect rental income collection.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to rental income and arrears.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the housing or property management sector.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to handle sensitive conversations with tenants.
- Proficiency in using databases and software for data entry and record keeping.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet targets.
- Knowledge of relevant housing regulations is a plus.

Duration:
This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 3 to 6 months.

Salary:
The hourly rate for this role is £18-£23 per hour, commensurate with experience.
