Contract Works Officer/ Housing Surveyor

You will be working for a major Local Authority in the West Midlands region within the Investment & Repairs department.


Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for creating instructions on work across the Capital & Repairs programme. You will be diagnosing issues on site and preparing schedules and repairs accordingly. You will also be overseeing contractors and performing quality control. You will be preparing contracts and payments throughout project lifecycles.


What you'll need to succeed
You will need demonstrable experience of diagnosing building faults and preparing schedules of work accordingly. You will be able to manage both contracts and payments, whilst also managing contractors. You will have strong stakeholder communication and negotiation skills to allow you to liaise with a range of different contractors and internal teams. You will have experience of working in Social Housing.


What you'll get in return
Pay rate of up to £250 p/day based on your level of experience. Ongoing 12 Month requirement
