Job Details

Social Housing Provider seeking a Technical Officer/Building Surveyor to oversee small refurbs Warrington.

Job Title: Technical Officer/ Clerk of Works (Small Projects)
Location: Warrington
Salary: £32,000-£35,000 basic salary + bonus + mileage + flexible hours + homebased working + additional benefits

Your new role

  • Manage the delivery of small planned maintenance and refurbishment works across residential properties across Warrington (project values approximately £10,000).
  • Liaising with tenants and third party organisations (grant providers, local councils) over planned works
  • Carrying out surveys and technical drawings of predominantly bathroom upgrade
  • Advising and assisting with procurement of materials
  • Acting as contract Administrator, managing and appointing contractors to carry out refurbishment works
  • Carrying out the role of Clerk of Works inspecting projects before handing over to the client

What you'll need to succeed

The successful Technical Officer/ Clerk of Works will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage small refurbishment projects and be a customer focused team player. A relevant qualification such as a HND or higher level construction qualification is also desirable. You must be able to survey and specify for adapted bathrooms.

What you'll get in return
£30,000 basic salary
Flexible working hours - 35 hours a week flexible start and finish times between the hours of 7am and 7pm.
Up to 5% bonus of basic salary
Mileage paid for in line with HMRC guidelines
25 days annual leave, rising to 30 days with length of service + bank holidays
