Structural Engineer based in Stockport, Manchester from Senior to Associate Level

Your new company
Your new company is a forward thinking and dynamic Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy with 23 technical staff spread across 3 offices in Manchester, Stoke and London. Offering their specialised services through all stages of the construction services to their client base, largely maintained through recommendations from customers, clients and fellow professionals., testament to their level of service.

Your company design buildings across a fantastic range of sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education, energy and waste and attractions (theme parks), most commonly in the £5m-£8m range, although project values can vary.

Your new role
Your new role will see you joining your new consultancy as a Structural Engineer ranging from Senior to Associate level depending on your previous industry experience. Your main responsibilities include hands of conceptual and detailed design as well as designating and check the work of junior engineers and technicians on the team.

Your new consultancy are known to be exceptionally responsive when dealing with clients, and continuing to maintain and grow relationships with contractors and clients will be essential.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need to have a Degree in Civil Engineering and be working to the level of a Senior Engineer, with experience in performing the above roles to a high standard. AutoCAD and Tekla Tedds experience is essential, with other software usage desirable.

Excellent mathematical understanding is required and good written and verbal communication skills will also be highly desirable.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a competitive salary in line with your previous experience, ranging from around £40,000 for a Senior position, to around £65,000 for Associate level. Exposure to a wide range of tasks will benefit your progression through the ranks as an engineer.

Your company have a discretionary bonus scheme based on meritocracy over the previous 12 months, where a high level of dedication could see a return of a months salary ~ £4,000. Pay day Friday is a half day across the office and there is regular social interaction with your new colleagues ranging from walking days out to 5-a-side football matches against other local engineering firms.

Health and wellbeing is incredibly well supported with your new company. 3rd party experts visit the office regularly to discuss important matters like mental and physical health. Included is an optional physical check up bi-annually. From a technical point of view bi-monthly 1-to-1's with a director to discuss progress and address any issues you may want to discuss.
