Electrical Resident Engineer

Global Engineering Consultancy, Belfast based projects, Long Term Contract, £21 - £25 per hour.

A global multi-discipline consultancy that specialises in building, infrastructure and environmental technical engineering. Within the market they provide advice, technical knowledge and design to a range of sectors including Healthcare, Highways & Transport, Retail, Commercial, Education and Defence. They have been established in Northern Ireland for many years and have a strong track record for delivering large-scale projects throughout the province.

Your new role
This is a long-term contract anticipated to run for c. 2.5 years. Reporting to the Associate Engineer you will oversee the onsite delivery of 4 projects located within the Greater Belfast Area. These projects will require your input on Electrical Services from inception stage through to delivery.
Some of the main duties will include:
Project Management, Technical Oversight, Quality Control, Construction Supervision, Documentation and Reporting, Safety and Compliance, Stakeholder Communication, Troubleshooting and Problem-solving, Team Coordination and Continuous Improvement.

What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this position you must be able to demonstrate on-site experience of completing large scale commercial or industrial projects.
It is essential that you come from a Building Services background i.e. time-served Electrician OR with a 3rd level qualification (HNC+) in a technical discipline i.e. Building Services Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
You should be able to demonstrate experience of writing progress reports, creating defect lists, carrying out condition surveys, site surveys, and site measurements as well as being able to read technical drawings and report on site health and safety.
Essential to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for the role.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
You will be paid week every Friday via BACS.
