Department/Location: Estates Division - Projects

**£59,450 - £63,059 pa - an additional market supplement may be available for this position, subject to skills and experience.**

The Senior Project Leader(s) (multiple roles in the Projects Organisation) report directly to the Head of Projects who in turn reports to the Director of Programme Delivery.  These are senior roles which include significant senior line management and the ability to create relationships at the most senior level within the University. The role will encompass a wide sphere of influence over staff, strategic decisions around investment and asset and property development and delivery as well as financial understanding and tactical control and intervention in the delivery of capital projects whose individual value can reach £300m.

The ideal candidate must have prior experience in personally leading the delivery of large scale complex projects requiring significant planning and co-ordination including infrastructure work to be undertaken. Portfolio value in excess of £50m.  Experience of programme delivery and programme management. Experience of managing a team of project professional staff and portfolio project delivery including line management.  Demonstrable track record in implementing quality standards and systems, with attention to detail. Commercial and cost management experience (Contract types, procurement, risk and cost) Experience of live construction sites and exposure to being part of a positive Health & Safety culture on site. Experience of working with consultants and contractors across a procurement framework. They must be computer literate with experience of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and planning software such as Project and Asta.

A relevant degree and Professional Qualification (RICS, ICE, ACE, CIOB, APM etc) are a must
