Your new role
As our Quantity Surveyor, you'll work with the delivery team, providing support to both the delivery management and on-site delivery teams.

Embracing the out performance mentality, you'll ensure that operations are carried out to control costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities and maintaining the required standard.

You will be responsible for assisting the programme area Estimating team to ensure robust estimates align to scope and make allowance for risks and opportunities. You will work closely with the Procurement team, Construction team and Project team in preparing Subcontracts and procurement strategies and ensuring they reflect agreed scope. You will produce accurate live forecasting, considering the programme and reporting in accordance with the respective work breakdown structure / cost breakdown structure.

You will be responsible for ensuring actual costs are monitored and assessed. You will provide reports on actual costs vs. estimate and identifying underlying reasons for any variance & resolutions, highlight, challenge and resolve variance to latest plans.

You will ensure that all project team members (including site staff) understand the contractual arrangements, in order to satisfy Client & Partner organisation requirements. You will also ensure that proper records are kept & maintained so financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available. You will need to liaise with the Project team to ensure any Contractual notifications required are issued in accordance with the Contract.

What you'll need to succeed
Do you have experience of NEC3 forms of contract?
Do you have experience of Water or Utilities Projects?
Do you have excellent IT skills?
Can you communicate with a wide range of audiences?
Do you have a thirst to make a positive impact?
