Bench Joiner - Norwich


HAYS Recruitment are seeking a skilled and experienced Bench Joiner to join our client who are a well established joinery company based in Norwich.

Your new company Specialising in bespoke products with over 40 years experience, they work on projects ranging from historic buildings to barn conversions and hospitals to office buildings as well as residential projects also.

Your new role
The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling furniture and fixtures to exact specifications. You will use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machinery to create high-quality finished products, including doors, windows, stairs, and other wooden components for a diverse client ranging from public sector to domestic clients. What you'll need to succeed Some of the key responsibilities and duties of the role will include:

  • Interpreting technical drawings to determine specifications and requirements.
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Assembling components to form completed units
  • Sanding, staining, and applying finishes to completed products.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bench Joiner
  • Knowledge of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and materials. ·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

What you'll get in return
The salary for this role will be base on the successful candidates experience and skill set, the salary range is between £25,000 to £27,000.

You will also be entitled to paid overtime up to 6 hours per week also as well and potential for bonus for specialist jobs also.

Working hours are 39hrs per week: Monday to Thursday 7.15am to 3.45pm (30mins unpaid lunch break)
Friday 7.15am to 2.45pm (30mins unpaid break)
