Your new role
I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee an exciting education refurbishment project in Manchester for a duration of 6 months.
As a Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of the project, maintaining high standards of quality, and meeting project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all on-site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Monitor and manage project progress, budgets, and resources effectively.
Collaborate closely with the project team, architects, and engineers to ensure project objectives are met. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts promptly to minimise delays and ensure smooth operations. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and site records.

What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience as a Site Manager, specifically in education refurbishment projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
First Aid certification preferred.
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance preferred.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and risk management.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
