Your office is based in either Altrincham, a 5 minute walk from the Altrincham Interchange
or Liverpool City Centre with both having a modern and open-plan office space encouraging an exciting and collaborative approach.
Your new role
Your new role will see you joining the Structural Engineering design team as a Senior Structural Engineer. You will be delivering high quality designs, drawings and reports using engineering materials including concrete, steel, masonry, timber. Applying Eurocodes, British Standards, current Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations and other design codes/information as appropriate is crucial to the design you'll be involved with.
Managing, encouraging, supporting and motivating junior Engineers and Technicians in the process of project design is an important aspect of your role as well as representing your company in design meetings.
You will play a key role in the future development and expansion of a multidisciplinary environment.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need to be a Senior (or near Senior) Structural Engineer and ideally a Chartered Member of the ICE or IStructE, although this isn't essential. The software's that you will need to be familiar with are AutoCAD, Tekla TEDDs and ideally an understanding of Revit.
A strong understanding of the engineering principles involved, and an ability to communicate these ideas to clients and team members will be needed to succeed.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a highly competitive salary package, with a basic salary in the range of £40,000 - £50,000 depending on your previous experience. There is also a discretionary bi-annual bonus, somewhat dependant on your company's financial success and capped at a months salary. 25 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays excluding the Christmas break where the office is closed can be expected with the option to buy extra holiday.
Support in gaining professional memberships including Chartership is also available, with 2 memberships per year funded by your new company.
Agile working with three days in the office, and two from home is company policy and dress down Fridays also encourage a modern working environment with a vibrant social culture where regular activities take place in Manchester and Liverpool.
