You could find yourself working on many high-profile projects and frameworks nationwide, including Cambridge to Huntingdon A14 upgrade, Smart Motorways and Roads Investment Programmes through the Collaborative Delivery Framework for Highways England, HS2, TRU, East West Rail and the West Midlands Shared Professional Services with a number of local authorities.

Your new role
Your new role will see you entering the company as a Bridge Engineer at Senior, Principal or Associate Level. You will lead the technical delivery of bridge and/or civil engineering projects and input into complex multidisciplinary projects.

Overseeing the production of high quality design documentation including sketches, drawings, calculations, reports and specifications will be your main responsibility. Furthermore carrying out these designs, calculations and reports independently is part of your role. Being responsible for the completion of projects on time and to budget is paramount.

Your role will also include the daily development of junior members of staff via mentoring from a technical standpoint and depending on your level of seniority, the management of the technical team and delivery will be expected.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need a Eng / MEng or MSc degree in civil engineering or equivalent. Chartership with the ICE or IStructE is also highly desirable, however exceptional non-chartered candidates with excellent track records will still be considered. A solid understanding on Network Rail, Highways England, and local authority standards and technical assurance procedure is needed.

The ability to manage projects, risk and people is essential. Furthermore the commercial and financial awareness to deliver schemes in line with clients expectations in a competitive market sector is needed.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a highly competitive salary in line with your previous experience in the region of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum. Your new company value flexible and remote working, with it being a central part of their culture. 2 or 3 days a week, depending on you preference, you can expect to work from home.

For those candidates who aren't chartered, gaining this qualification will be supported throughout your journey here. In fact, upon completion, a bonus of £2,500 will be rewarded to you! Furthermore your salary will also be internally reviewed and an increase in salary can be expected.
